Talk Therapy

“Courage doesn’t happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life.”

― Shannon L. Alder

How does talk therapy work ?

Talking therapy involves talking to a trained professional about your thoughts, feelings and behavior. Describing what’s going on in your head and how that makes you feel can help you pinpoint any patterns you may want to change. Sometimes it blends with psychodynamic therapy and helps you explore key moments from your childhood. It can help you learn where your current negative feelings and ideas stem from and why they are there. Our emotions are a gift, in that they let us know when something is “off” and needs attention. Understanding all this can help you make positive changes, take greater control of your life and improve your confidence.
